IT DISPOSAL LIMITED WAS FOUNDED BACK IN 2002. WELL BEFORE THE WEEE REGULATIONS CAME INTO FORCE. EVEN BACK THEN WE WERE DOING THINGS CORRECTLY. ALL REUSABLE ITEMS WERE REUSED, ALL NON REUSABLE ITEMS WERE DISMANTLED AND RECYCLED. AND 0% ENDED UP IN LANDFILL.

 

Our policy is still the same today. The only difference now is the amount of companies who claim to recycle IT equipment. More than 400 companies are now advertising their services in the IT recycling industry many of these companies are not licensed and alot of the equipment is not even tested let alone sanitised and removed of all data.

 

Which ever disposal contaractor you employ must be licensed by the Environment Agency as a Registered waste carrier. they should also have relevent exemptions in place and Permits which enable them to test, Store and dismantle old equipment, they should also be registered with the Data Protection Act.
